If you are looking somewhere special then this is the place to go. Words cannot describe how wonderful it is.

The hut has been finished to a very high standard from luxury hand wash/shower gel to a beautiful sofa dressed with ulster weaver cushions with matching beanbag etc.

The welcome pack which was provided was much  more than we could have hoped for , it consisted of wheaten bread, crisps, whiskey, jams, milk etc.

Also a coffee maker and speciality teas were provided.

The views from the hut were amazing waking up to the sun rising on the water was so beautiful and not to be missed.

The wood fire hot tub was incredible with fresh water each day, this had to be the most relaxing experience with only the sound of the waves from the sea.

Also very important for us is that the Shepherd’s rest is dog friendly our wee westie loved the peace and quiet and spent her time chilling looking at the water.

Last but definitely not least was our host Mary who checked in with us to make sure everything was OK and always answered texts immediately.

We can’t rate the Shepherd’s rest highly enough and can’t wait to return.
